During September nearly 1500 veterinary practices throughout the UK are donating their time to carry out FREE Pet Smile Checkups for your pets.
During these check-ups the veterinary staff will assess the oral health of your pet and will offer advice on tooth brushing, oral hygiene and diets & treats that have been shown to reduce dental disease.
80% of pets over the age of 3 are suffering from dental disease - this accounts for untold pain and illness - most of which is treatable and nearly all is preventable. Pet Smile Month exists to raise awareness of the problems of dental disease and to try and encourage prevention.
To book a pet dental check-up click here and ring a Pet Smile vet near to you for an appointment.
In addition to the check-up, pet owners will receive a Goody Bag* containing samples of dental diets for cats and dogs and special doggy oral hygiene chews. The bags will also contain Money Off vouchers for you to redeem at your practice, towards the purchase of Logic Oral Hygiene Gel, Royal Canin Dental Diets, Oral Bars, Pedigree DentaStix and Petplan Pet Health insurance.
Prevention of dental disease is better than treatment. Veterinary Dentistry is all about making pets healthier and happier and seeing the benefits that this brings to our pets and their relationships with their owners.
* Goody Bags available only whilst stock lasts, one pack per client. Whilst the check-up is free any required treatment is not covered by this offer – always discuss charges with your vet.3556 views
