Seresto Collar Granted Prestigious Easy To Give Status
Bayer’s innovative POM-V flea and tick collar, Seresto, has been awarded Easy to Give status by feline charity International Cat Care.
The award, which recognises pharmaceutical products that make giving medication to cats easier, was awarded to Seresto due to its simple mode of application, long period of efficacy and unique safety mechanism, making it an ideal choice for efficacious flea and tick prevention.
Seresto provides up to 8 months of protection against fleas and ticks, offering clients peace of mind when it comes to helping to protect their cat’s health. The collar has two active ingredients: imidacloprid for fleas and flumethrin for ticks. Flumethrin exhibits a repellent mode of action against ticks, allowing them to be repelled and killed before they’ve had a chance to bite1.
A survey revealed that 98 per cent of vets who trialled Seresto said they are likely to recommend the collar to clients in the future.2
Antony Ashford, a qualified veterinary nurse, is part of Seresto’s new case study campaign to bring real-life Seresto stories to light.
Antony explains “I live with three cats: Tiggy, Dillon and Marley. A couple of years ago, I returned home from holiday to a flea infested home, after realising that the cats had missed a flea treatment. Dealing with the infestation was pretty stressful, and after hearing about Seresto, I thought it might be a good solution to the challenges of keeping up with regular flea treatments in a multi-cat household.
‘’I have been using Seresto for two years and there has been no sign of fleas on the cats since. I now regularly recommend it to my clients.”
