Sussex Based Vets Win £1000 For Local Rescue Charity To Help Abandoned Unwanted Animals

Grove Lodge Vets nominate local animal charity Worthing & District Animal Rescue Service (WADARS) to receive winning cheque When Grove Lodge Vets picked up the prestigious ‘Best Veterinary Surgery’ award at the recent star-studded fourth annual Burgess Wetnose Animal Rescue Awards in London their prize was a cheque for £1000 to be donated to an animal rescue charity of their choice. Local animal rescue WADARS (Worthing & District Animal Rescue Service) have been helping to save both unwanted local pets and injured wildlife for over 40 years, working very closely with the Sussex based independent veterinary group to treat sick and unwanted animals so were the obvious recipients for the prize money. The judges awarded Grove Lodge Vets ‘Best Veterinary Surgery’ trophy recognising not only their highly skilled clinical approach to cases and impressive fully-equipped Worthing 24hr emergency hospital and referral centre, their excellent branch clinics including Brighton, Portslade, and Lancing, but also their continued service and commitment to improving animal welfare standards and community education via popular weekly school visits, talks, fun dog shows, even shirt sponsors for a local children’s football team.
