Turlough O’Neill joins North East Veterinary Referrals Clinical Director team

These are exciting times for veterinary care in the northeast. Under new management, and with a greatly expanded remit, North East Veterinary Referrals (formerly Croft Veterinary Hospital) is pleased to announce the imminent arrival of a third Clinical Director, Turlough O'Neill.

Turlough O’Neill MVB MVS MACVSc CertSAS DipECVS MRCVS, RCVS and European Specialist in Small Animal Surgery

The new North East Veterinary Referrals management team is comprised of three highly qualified and vastly experienced Clinical Directors, assuring both referring practices and pet owners that the clinical care given to pets treated by the hospital will be second to none:

·         Turlough O’Neill MVB MVS MACVSc CertSAS DipECVS MRCVS,  RCVS and European Specialist in Small Animal Surgery

·         Kathryn Pratschke MVB CertSAS MVM Dip ECVS MRCVS, RCVS and European Specialist in Small Animal Surgery

·         Sean Henney BVM&S, CertSAD, MRCVS

Turlough, who joins Sean and Kathryn to helm the team, brings plenty of relevant experience: "After initially working in mixed practice in Ireland, I moved to Australia to work in small animal practice. Completing a residency in small animal surgery and a Masters in Veterinary Studies at University of Melbourne I returned to the UK as a lecturer in Small Animal Surgery at the University of Liverpool. I successfully passed the RCVS Certificate in Small Animal Surgery and qualified as a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Surgeon, with core interests in arthroscopy and spinal surgery. I have spent some time in Small Animal Referral practice and am really looking forward to joining the North East Veterinary Referral team to provide a professional, accessible and comprehensive referral service to pets, owners and veterinary practices across the northeast.
