TV Star Vet Luke Gamble To Join Local Vet Hospital’s Family Fun Day

Luke Gamble of Sky TV’s Vet Adventures will be guest of honour at Davies Vet Specialists’ (DVS) fabulous Family Fun Day on Sunday 10th June. Animal lovers are invited to come along and enjoy some free entertainment, where pets will be taking centre stage all day. Not only will there be a vast array of animal-themed displays, demonstrations and competitions but there will also be a celebratory focus on past patients of the practice. Dogs who have previously received treatment at DVS are eligible to enter a special class in the Dog Show, to win some great prizes. The day promises bags of fun for children and adults alike. As well as enjoying (and entering) the Dog Show, visitors can marvel at the speed and skill of agility dogs and the grace and majesty of birds of prey in the falconry display. Elsewhere DVS nurses will be demonstrating pet first aid and giving away free first aid kits for pets. For those fascinated with veterinary matters there will be regular tours of the first-class facilities at DVS, including displays of state-of-the-art MRI and CT equipment, the advanced keyhole technologies such as endoscopy, laparoscopy and arthroscopy, as well as viewing the wards and consultation rooms. There’s face painting, an entertainer and ice creams for children, while Mums and Dads can browse the numerous pet-themed stalls. For the hungry there’s a hog roast, candy stall and a cake stand as well as a refreshments stall and there’s even a tombola if you’re feeling lucky. As a special memento of the day there will be a photographer on hand to take a portrait of your beloved pet.
