VETERINARY SURGERIES USE PETPLAN PORTFOLIO POINTS TO CLAIM EVERYTHING FROM TEAM NIGHTS OUT TO LAWNMOWERS
Credits are awarded for each full ‘small animal’ or ‘equine’ policy that is credited to a practice
The UK’s favourite pet insurer, Petplan, has released the top 10 most common items purchased though their Portfolio Rewards scheme. The scheme rewards those practices that generate policies, giving surgeries Portfolio Rewards credits for every new or renewing policy. The credits (25 = £1) can be redeemed against a range of gifts that includes everything from veterinary equipment through to leisure activities for team nights out.
The top 10 list suggests that the points are often used as gifts for surgery staff, with Love 2 Shop, Marks and Spencer, Amazon and Boots vouchers the top four most commonly-bought items. Petplan’s data also reveals that the Rewards credits can be used for quirkier purchases, including a single sofa bed, a Sat-Nav and a head torch.
Isabella von Mesterhazy, Head of Marketing at Petplan, comments: “It’s great to see veterinary surgeries using their Portfolio Rewards for a wide range of occasions - the scheme was created as an added bonus for practices, to say a ‘thank you’ for their continued hard work. And with Christmas coming up, we hope that these credits contribute to many veterinary surgery’s much-deserved festive functions!”
