The larger than life Vetmedin dog, ‘Pepper’, which formed the centre-piece of the Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica stand at this year’s BSAVA Congress, received an amazing 2,000 ‘kisses’ from veterinary professionals in the daily ‘Pin A Tail On The Dog’ style competition.

“Having 2,000 visitors on the stand over the four days certainly kept all our staff very busy,” said Vetmedin brand manager Jemima Scott. “Most of the stand visitors linked the competition to the ‘teaser’ advertising campaign that ran in the vet press during the lead-up to Congress.”
Arthur Loddo from Chestnut House Veterinary Centre in Hull, Jenny Waters from Minster Veterinary Practice in Loughborough, Katie Bennett from Chine House Vets in Leicestershire and Katie Newport from Timperley Veterinary Centre in Altrincham all positioned the Vetmedin kiss closest to the winning part of the dog’s body. Each won £250 of Red Letter Day Vouchers.
Visitors to the stand were also able to learn more about Vetmedin and the tools available to support veterinary practices, including presenting interactive product information on iPads™. These are now being used by Boehringer Ingelheim’s territory managers to educate veterinary professionals on the company’s extensive range of small animal products in practice.
