Vet Nutra logo Vetstream, the UK-based supplier of online veterinary reference content, is expanding into Scandinavia with a link up with VetNutra Ltd, one of the region's leading veterinary distributors. Vetstream provides online clinical information through its Canis, Felis, Lapis and Equis services for the veterinary treatment of dogs, cats, rabbits and horses. The services, which already have subscribers from more than 30 countries around the world, make up the world's largest online source of peer-reviewed content, offering thousands of interactive images, videos, articles and illustrations. All content is peer-reviewed by more than 800 of the world’s leading clinicians. The services are updated each week, providing practices with comprehensive and current information to use with cases; to train team members, to communicate with clients and to support an evidence-based approach to treatment. VetNutra is a Swedish-based specialist distribution company for the veterinary sector and supplies nutraceutical supplements  to veterinarians and animal hospitals throughout  Scandinavia. It places a strong emphasis on the scientific research behind the products it distributes and works with many leading brands in the nutraceutical industry. Dr G Mark Johnston MRCVS, Managing Director of Vetstream, comments: "In common with other countries, practices in Scandinavia are grappling with the challenges of fast-moving clinical developments and the need to communicate with clients more effectively. Our services offer them instant access to a wealth of the latest information and they can also use the graphics and videos to explain diagnoses and proposed treatment regimes to clients. We look forward to working with VetNutra to bring our online services to practices throughout Scandinavia." Jack Shirley, Managing Director of VetNutra, added: "The recent emergence of cloud-based knowledge database services is enabling veterinary professionals to benefit from a treasure trove of field-related science and research materials. Vetstream's services are a good example and we believe they will help veterinarians raise the standard of care they provide to a new level. We are pleased to announce our agreement with the company." Vetstream’s clinical reference services, Canis, Felis, Lapis and Equis, provide the world’s largest online source of peer reviewed point-of-care veterinary content. Vetstream also recently entered the CPD market, launching Vetacademy, a service which provides e-learning modules and online videos in partnership with some of the world’s leading veterinary CPD providers.
