Online veterinary clinical resource specialist Vetstream has expanded its sales and marketing team with four new team members to meet growing demand for its range of digital content services for veterinary organisations and businesses.

Ms Sharon Tongue has joined the company as Business Development Manager.  In this role, she is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with corporate practice groups, buying groups, manufacturers, practice management system providers and professional associations.  Sharon Tongue has a veterinary nursing background and worked as a head nurse before moving into pharmaceutical sales as a regional sales manager.  Before joining Vetstream, she was practice manager at a large veterinary hospital.

Mrs Caroline Bridge has been appointed as a field-based New Business Manager to build sales of Vetstream Webpartner’s newly enhanced suite of website design services to veterinary practices and veterinary businesses in the east of the UK.  She will also be responsible for building sales of Vetstream’s online clinical reference tool Vetlexicon, its practice manager online reference tool Practis and its other digital services. Caroline has extensive experience as a territory manager in the veterinary sector.  Mrs Rebecca Denning and Ms Sally Hutchinson have been appointed as Internal Account Managers and will provide marketing support to the sales teams across Vetstream’s product range.

Vetstream offers a range of digital services to the veterinary profession, including:

Vetstream Vetlexicon - the world's largest online clinical veterinary reference tool, which offers comprehensive, peer-reviewed digital point-of-care information on the veterinary treatment of dogs (Canis), cats (Felis), rabbits (Lapis) and horses (Equis), together with Practis, which provides advice on all aspects of practice management.

Webpartner - which offers a suite of newly enhanced website design, online content and digital marketing services designed specifically for veterinary practices and veterinary business in the UK.

Vetacademy - a user-friendly online learning platform which provides the whole practice team with the ability to search and select from more than 300 courses from the world’s leading training and CPD providers.

Vetstream has recently been appointed as a Global Educational Partner and Communications Partner of the World Small Animal Veterinary Association (WSAVA), a global community of 105 member associations and more than 200,000 individual veterinarians.

Commenting on the expansion of his team, Dr Mark Johnston, Managing Director of Vetstream, said: “We see great opportunities for growth in the suite of digital services we already offer to the veterinary profession and for the new services we have under development. Our new team members bring their experience of the veterinary market and enthusiasm to help us to capitalise on increasing demand for digital services with the veterinary sector globally.”
