Virbac Recognised As One Of The UK’s Best Workplaces™
Virbac UK is celebrating being named as one of the UK’s best workplaces in 2024 and being officially certified as a ‘Great Place To Work’.
Virbac UK, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Virbac Group, with 49 UK-based employees, was not only named as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces™, it was also named as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces in BioPharma™ and one of the UK’s Best Workplaces for Women™ in 2024.
Great Place To Work®, the global authority on workplace culture, administered their research-backed Trust Index© anonymous employee survey and analysed the responses of UK-based employees to determine the Best Workplaces™ lists. The surveys asked employees to comment on how their company supports their work-life balance, sense of fulfilment, job satisfaction, psychological safety and financial security. Evaluations also included an assessment of how well the organisation was able to deliver consistency of their employee experience across all departments and seniority levels.
Analysis of Virbac employee survey responses found:
- 94% of employees at Virbac say it is a great place to work, compared to 54% of employees at a typical UK based company.
- 98% of employees at Virbac say that people are treated fairly, regardless of their sex, age, race or sexual orientation
- 94% of employees at Virbac say that people at the company care about each other
Charlotte Covell, Managing Director at Virbac UK said “I’m incredibly proud of the culture we have at Virbac. Our customers consistently tell us that our team is our greatest asset, so it’s important to us that each and every one of them feels fulfilled, valued and able to develop professionally within our company. ‘Pay attention to people’ is one of our company values, so to be recognised as one of the UK’s best workplaces is testament to our team’s commitment to demonstrating our values each and every day”.
Virbac was founded by Veterinary Surgeon Pierre Richard-Dick in 1968 and has been dedicated exclusively to animal health from the very beginning. Today the company is present in more than 100 countries, but is still controlled by the family of its founder, whose profoundly human values continue to be the driving force behind the company.
Benedict Gautrey, Managing Director of Great Place To Work UK said “Workplaces are only great if they’re great for all employees. The companies included in our 2024 Best Workplaces list are champions at creating safe spaces where their people feel comfortable. Congratulations Virbac for creating a truly ‘great’ workplace.”
