The Dome hosts charity fundraiser to help local homeless pets & wildlife
Love animals? Love music? Then Friday 30th November might just be your perfect night as the Dome on Worthing seafront hosts local favourite band Supersaurus and freestyle magician Magic Al, as well as a DJ and raffle – with all proceeds going to Worthing & District Animal Rescue Service (WADARS).
WADARS, established in Worthing over 40 years ago are well known in the area for rescuing and rehoming unwanted pets as well as rehabilitating injured wildlife too. WADARS rely entirely on donations, legacies, fundraising and membership to keep going with their invaluable work, and like all animal charities, they’re sadly noticing a sharp increase in abandoned pets as a result of tough economic times.
WADARS spokesman Tony Thorn says “The annual Bands Night - organised by Worthing-based Grove Lodge Vets - in aid of WADARS is now an established ‘must attend’ for all fans of Supersaurus and WADARS, and hopes to raise essential funds to support our work rescuing wildlife and rehoming hundreds of pets. Without the support of events like the Bands Night, this vital work would not be able to continue.
“Our WADARS kennels are full of wonderful dogs, cats, and rabbits all needing loving, forever homes. These animals find themselves there for a wide variety of reasons, but once they reach the safety of WADARS they can be sure to find the perfect home to suit them, however long that takes - so if you’re thinking of adding a pet to your family this Christmas, why not rescue a WADARS pet?”
Supersaurus frontman Paul Green says “Everyone in Supersaurus is very proud once again to be part of this brilliant event in aid of WADARS. We’re all animal lovers and are delighted to be able to help raise much needed funds to help ensure WADARS can continue to carry out their wonderful work. It’s also a really great night out for everyone!”1654 views
