Leatherhead, UK – May 20, 2025 – Zoetis UK Ltd today announced the renewal of its sponsorship of the European Scientific Counsel for Companion Animal Parasites (ESCCAP) UK and Ireland. This support reflects Zoetis' commitment to the veterinary profession in the responsible use of parasiticides in dogs and cats.

The European Scientific Counsel for Companion Animal Parasites (ESCCAP) is an independent, not for profit organisation, comprising a group of eminent veterinarians across Europe all with recognised expertise in the field of parasitology.

“We are delighted to be able to continue to support ESCCAP in this way,” said Louise Longstaff National Veterinary Manager - Companion Animal, at Zoetis. “We have a true passion for the field of parasitology. ESCCAP provides clear and constructive information about effective parasite control and this information is pivotal to assisting vets in prescribing parasiticides responsibly.  We are delighted to be supporting ESCCAP UK & Ireland for a second year and thereby supporting veterinary practices in their approach to parasite prevention, treatment and control.”

"The partnership between ESCCAP UK & Ireland and Zoetis UK Ltd reflects a shared commitment to advancing pet health and welfare through education and cutting-edge innovation in parasitology," said Hany Elsheikha, Head of ESCCAP UK & Ireland. "This collaboration empowers us to expand our programmes, launch impactful initiatives, drive research and innovation, and strengthen partnerships across the veterinary community. Together, we aim to set new benchmarks in promoting best practices for parasite control in small animal care. We are truly inspired by Zoetis’ dedication to supporting our mission and their commitment to creating a lasting, positive impact on animal welfare."
