Adam Mugford Joins Lumbry Park Veterinary Specialists
Dr Adam Mugford, BVetMed MVetMed DACVECC MRCVS, a RCVS Recognised Specialist in Emergency and Critical Care and Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (ECC), has joined Lumbry Park Veterinary Specialists in Alton, Hampshire. Dr Mugford, one of only 17 ECC Specialists in the UK, will be developing an ECC service at Lumbry Park, one of the most advanced, multi-disciplinary specialist veterinary hospitals in the UK and part of CVS’ rapidly growing referral network.
Following graduation and an internship at the Royal Veterinary College, Adam worked in general practice, including sole charge night work, in hospital and emergency practice. He completed his residency in Emergency and Critical Care in 2013 becoming board certified the same year. He also completed a Master’s in Veterinary Medicine at the Royal Veterinary College. He became an RCVS Recognised Specialist in Emergency and Critical Care in 2015. In his most recent role, he was Group Head of Emergency and Intensive Care for four RCVS Recognised hospitals and branches and oversaw standards of out of hours provision to 50+ sites. He also led the development of the first specialist 24-hour veterinary intensive care unit in central London.
