Ceva Animal Health is hosting a webinar on antimicrobial resistance (AMR) to help educate veterinary professionals on sustainable antibiotic use.

Entitled ‘Antimicrobial resistance – how can vets help?  Using cytology as a patient-side test to reduce antibiotic use’, the online seminar will be presented by renowned dermatologist, Professor Tim Nuttall from the University of Edinburgh.

Taking place at 7.00pm on Tuesday 28 February and lasting for approximately an hour, the webinar will cover topics such as the implications of AMR in both human and animal health and what can be done in practice to help prevent AMR.  It will focus specifically on performing cytology in practice and how it not only helps with reducing antimicrobial use, but also increases practice revenue, provides quicker results and improves client relationships.  This comes following four extremely successful ‘hands-on cytology in practice’ CPD sessions that Ceva hosted during 2016 to help practices provide in-house diagnostics to clients.

The webinar will support the launch of Ceva’s new initiative GRAM (Guidance for the Rational use of AntiMicrobials), a practical, reliable, ethical and above all easy-to-use guide taking the veterinary surgeon through diagnosis to initial and long-term antibiotic treatment.  AMR is a highly critical topic in both human and animal health, and by educating vets and nurses, Ceva Animal Health aims to show practices how they can play their part in creating sustainable antibiotic use.

To book your place on the webinar please speak to your Ceva Animal Health territory manager or email [email protected].
