Staff at Dechra Veterinary Products have raised hundreds of pounds for a national charity following a social event and raffle.
Employees at Dechra Veterinary Products held a seaside-themed event at the company's headquarters, near Shrewsbury, to raise money for The MS Society.
A raffle with prizes donated by a number of Dechra's suppliers raised £423 - an amount which was matched by the company.
Jock Smith, from the Shrewsbury and District branch of the MS Society, was presented with a cheque for £846 at Dechra's offices.
Dechra Veterinary Products' UK and Ireland Country Manager Bob Parmenter said: “We're delighted to have raised this money for such a good cause. Around 100,000 people in the UK are affected by multiple sclerosis and it was our employees who decided which charity should benefit from their fundraising efforts.
“We'd also like to thank our suppliers for being so generous in donating raffle prizes.”
Mr Smith said: "We were delighted to have received this generous donation from Dechra Veterinary Products. We rely on charitable donations to continue our really important work supporting those with MS and funding research into what can be a devastating diagnosis and illness.
“We'd like to thank Dechra and the staff very much for nominating the MS Society to benefit from their fundraising.”
