East Of England CPD Day Success
The Referral Team at IVC Evidensia hosted a special ‘Improving Clinical Practice’ CPD in the East of England last week.
60 small animal vets and nurses from all over the East of England congregated at the Marriott Hotel in Huntingdon to listen to talks given by five local IVC Evidensia practices.
Referral clinicians from Abington Park Vet Referrals in Northampton, Byre Veterinary Referrals in Peterborough, Mill House Veterinary Hospital in Kings Lynn and Taverham Veterinary Hospital in Norwich all presented. They were joined by Specialist Dental Vet Gerhard Putter who works from Mulberry Vets in Sudbury and Wood Street in Barnet, as well as Byre Vets.
A wide range of topics were covered, from dealing with damaged crowns, dermatology tips and a hip dysplasia update to radiographic positioning and best use of endoscopy in practice.
“We have a number of good quality referral practices in this area,” said Chris Trickey, part of the IVC Evidensia Referral Team,
“This is a great way for us to show local vets what they can offer - and at the same time provide some useful practical tips for clinicians and nurses in first opinion practice. I think it helps that all of these referral vets work in practices with a first opinion service running alongside, so they are very aware of the unique pressures in modern first opinion practice.”
