Emma Makes A Happy Return To Leading Scottish Animal Hospital

A leading Glasgow vets has boosted the cardiology service at its small animal hospital with the welcome return of a popular member of staff.
Emma Lindsay has re-joined the expert team at Linnaeus-owned Pets ‘n’ Vets, which has seven sites across the city including the Roundhouse Veterinary Hospital.
Emma first developed her interest in cardiology when she joined the practice after graduating from the University of Edinburgh in 2012 and says she’s delighted to be back.
Emma said: “Pets ‘n’ Vets has a fantastic team, which makes it a great place to be! They have always been supportive in all aspects of my career which has allowed me to develop and grow, and I know that will continue.
“It’s where I developed my first interest in cardiology and I was fortunate to shadow Alistair Gibson on his visits to our clinic.
“I also started my Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice here and had support from an experienced cardiology diploma holder to improve my echocardiography skills.
“At the end of 2019 I was delighted to complete my certificate in advanced veterinary practice with an emphasis in cardiology.
“The Roundhouse Veterinary Hospital site, where I’ll be based, is very well equipped with all the tools I need to achieve this.”
Emma left to work as a ward vet at another Glasgow practice but is now back at Pets ‘n’ Vets with big ambitions for the future, especially now the group is owned by Linnaeus.
She added: “Pets ‘n’ Vets joining Linnaeus opens up an exciting large network of support and opportunities.
“Now I hope to establish a high-level primary cardiology service for our patients and clients, as well as providing support for my fellow colleagues.
“Pets ‘n’ Vets, along with Linnaeus, have been extremely supportive in my development, providing time and resources to help me achieve my goals.”
Talking of goals, Emma enjoys keeping active outside of work especially playing a Dutch sport called Korfball, a fast paced, mixed gender ball game. She plays with the Glasgow team in the Scottish League. She also particular enjoys spending time on the couch with her Labrador Finn.
Pets ‘n’ Vets was founded 50 years ago in the Southside of Glasgow and is now the hub for seven veterinary practices in and around the city and Lanarkshire, all operating under the Pets ‘n’ Vets banner.
The practices include The Roundhouse Veterinary Hospital in Pollockshaws; Pets’n’Vets in Crookfur, Newton Mearns; Hairmyres Vets in East Kilbride; Queen’s Park Vets, Queen’s Park; McDonald Vets, Scotstoun; McDonald Vets, Queen Margaret Drive; and Blantyre Vets in South Lanarkshire.
