Dechra is hosting an exclusive otitis externa CPD event dedicated to dermatology and the management of otitis in dogs.
Taking place from 9.00am to 5.00pm on Wednesday 21st January, the free, full-day event will enable veterinary professionals to learn from leading dermatology experts and explore the latest insights with a special focus on yeast-only otitis and advancing care in otitis externa. It will consist of expert-led sessions with practical takeaways that can be utilised in practice and will count for three hours’ CPD.
The event will introduce Dechra’s latest innovation in otitis care, DuOtic otic gel, a new approach to how vets manage yeast otitis in their patients, and will enable delegates to network with like-minded veterinary professionals while engaging in discussions from the CPD.

DuOtic, which was introduced to veterinary professionals at London Vet Show, is the first licensed steroid and antifungal combination for the treatment of otitis externa in dogs associated with susceptible strains of Malassezia pachydermatis. Featuring the active ingredients terbinafine 10 mg and betamethasone 1 mg, DuOtic helps reduce the unnecessary use of antibiotics for yeast-only otitis externa in line with best practice guidelines which include performing ear cytology for every otitis externa case.
