One of Surrey’s top animal hospitals has just appointed a new clinical director to lead its expert team.

James Cole has taken charge at Cathcart & Winn, the longest-established veterinary practice in the towns of Farnham and Aldershot, which is owned by Linnaeus.

James will head a team of five expert vets supported by ten veterinary nurses at the popular practice which prides itself on providing the highest standards of care and expertise.

James said: “Cathcart & Winn has always been committed to delivering the highest standards of care for our pet patients.

“My job now is to lead the clinical side of the practice and ensure those standards are maintained and also seek opportunities where we can even improve the service we provide.

“I’m especially looking forward to working with the excellent veterinary team here and am very keen to further support and develop their work, skills and expertise.

“We all pride ourselves on the range of services we offer to help people keep their pets fit and healthy.

“To do that we recommend regular examinations and annual health checks which often help with the early detection of abnormalities and can make them much easier to treat and usually lead to better outcomes.”

Another priority for James is to utilise the emergency out-of-hours service the practice offers.

Cathcart & Winn has a successful partnership with Vets Now in Farnham to cover cases when the main practice is closed.

James said: “Being partnered with the highly-skilled team at Vets Now for out of hours emergencies is an extremely important part of our service to the community.

“Their vets are highly experienced and specifically trained to work with emergency cases and critical care so it ensures our clients will still receive the very best treatment, even when we are closed.

“The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons has recognised them as an “outstanding” provider of emergency veterinary care which is why we’re delighted to work so closely with them.”

Cathcart & Winn’s Farnham hospital is based in Hale Road, with its Aldershot practice in Victoria Road.
