FREE CPD ON COUGHS AND SNEEZES AT SOUTHFIELDS
Three specialists from a leading Essex referral centre are hosting a free continuing personal development (CPD) session on Internal Medicine and Cardiology.
The team from Southfields Veterinary Specialists, in Laindon, are holding the session at the Holiday Inn, in Waterfront Walk, Basildon on Thursday, November 22, from 7.30pm.
‘Coughs and sneezes - which diseases?’ will be led by Domingo Casamian-Sorrosal, Head of Cardiology and Cardiopulmonary, Chris Scudder, Head of Internal Medicine and, Jennifer Raj, Clinician in Internal Medicine
Using interactive case discussions which will allow attendees to vote on clinical decisions, the team will recreate real-life situations and explain the clinical thought processes in a variety of cardiac and respiratory conditions.
“Coughing can be caused by a wide range of respiratory and cardiovascular diseases and conditions,” said Dr Casamian-Sorrosal.
“Using a patient-orientated approach, we will discuss the diagnostic investigations and treatments of different causes of the sneeze and cough.
“We hope this free session will provide an engaging and useful discussion on these topics for everyone who attends.”
All veterinary professionals attending will receive a certificate for 1.5 hours of CPD for their records.
