Staff at Aspen Vets, based in Upper Abbey Wood near Dartford, are set to enjoy an evening’s team building event after winning a Royal Canin competition to improve awareness of itchy skin conditions.
Veterinary Nurse, Linda Lavender is pictured collected the £1,000 prize from Royal Canin’s Veterinary Business Manager Jennifer Ogilvie after creating an impressive ‘itchy skin display’ for the practice’s cat and dog owners.
Second prize went to Sarah Boyd and Dexter Atkins from Companion Care in Redhill, Surrey whilst third prize was won by Gemma Johnson of Hunters Lodge in Guildford. An additional prize for effort was awarded to Emma Barton at Moy Farm Vet Centre near Preston.
Royal Canin’s Veterinary Marketing Manager, Lindsay Calcraft, explains: “Around 25 per cent of small animal veterinary appointments are concerned with itchy skin. The display competition aimed to raise awareness of the help available for these conditions, including special scientific diets, in a fun and creative way.”
