Jan Creamer ADI President said Our online store is the perfect place for ethical, fun Christmas gifts for family and friends, with every purchase supporting ADI’s life-saving work around the world.”

With offices in the UK, the USA and Colombia, ADI works to end the suffering of animals in captivity and protect wild animals and their environments. This includes the long-term protection of animals used in entertainment; animals used in research and their replacement with advanced non-animal techniques; and wildlife, whose survival is threatened, for example, by trafficking, the ivory and lion bone trades, and trophy hunting.

ADI’s evidence led campaigns employ scientific, legal and economic research, empirical evidence and investigations to inform and educate. Where this has been a catalyst for change, ADI collaborates with governments to conduct large-scale seizures, relocating the animals to their forever homes, and back to their natural habitats wherever possible. The organisation has rescued hundreds of animals and currently funds the care and habitats of more than 80 lions, bears, primates and other animals at partner sanctuaries in Europe, Africa and South America.

During their most recent mission, the epic Operation Spirit of Freedom, ADI rescued over 100 animals from circuses and the illegal wildlife trade as they assisted the government of Peru with enforcement of a ban on wild animal acts. Native animals including endangered bears and dozens of monkeys were rehomed in Amazon sanctuaries, while a tiger was relocated to a sanctuary in Florida and 33 African lions (nine from Colombia) airlifted to freedom and natural bush habitats in their native Africa.
