The new CoagVET whole blood veterinary PT/APTT instrument
Meet HORIBA at Stand A86– 21-22 November, London Olympia
HORIBA UK Ltd, Medical Division, will launch two new veterinary haematology diagnostics systems for coagulation assessment on Stand A86 at the London Vet Show 2013. This is being held at London Olympia from 21st to 22nd November.
The new CoagVET whole blood veterinary PT/APTT instrument for in-house use provides highly sensitive measurement of the efficiency of blood coagulation pathways. Small, compact and portable, the analyser utilises specialised pipettes for precise and easy sampling and reagent dispensing. Also ensuring ease-of-use, the colour touch screen provides an innovative user interface specifically designed for veterinary application.
Also to be launched at the London Vet Show, CoagHD is a near-patient whole blood horse diagnostic system providing a rapid decision support tool in horse colic treatment. Delivering near-patient results within a few minutes, this prognostic test for equine colic is simple to use due to its software aided test protocol. Its operation is RFID secured with convenient network-based data management.
HORIBA’s veterinary team will be available at Stand A86 throughout the course of the meeting, providing information on the full range of HORIBA diagnostic product offerings. In addition to the new coagulation analysers, products include the Vet abc Plus+, a fully automated veterinary haematology analyser, that provides accurate and reliable results, quickly and easily. The FeLV-FIV rapid test for the detection of specific feline leukaemia virus antigen (FeLV) and feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) antibody in feline whole blood, serum or plasma, will also be demonstrated.
The London Vet Show incorporates both an Exhibition and Congress, with a lecture programme that creates a comprehensive CPD event for vets in both small and mixed practice. Cattle and equine streams will be delivered by the BVA, which will run alongside the companion animal stream provided by the Royal Veterinary College.
