The CoagHD equine blood coagulation analyser
HORIBA UK Ltd, Medical, will be exhibiting at the BEVA Congress 2014, ICC, Birmingham, 10-13th September. At Europe’s largest equine conference on the HORIBA stand D17 visitors can explore its range of veterinary diagnostic solutions with the HORIBA vet team. HORIBA’s diagnostic offering for equine use includes portable and compact analysers for blood coagulation measurement and decision support in horse colic treatment, as well as whole blood haematology analysis.
CoagHD is a near-patient whole blood horse diagnostic system specifically designed to measure blood coagulation in horses and provide a rapid decision support tool in colic treatment. Delivering near-patient results within a few minutes, this prognostic test for equine colic is simple to use due to its software aided test protocol. The instrument is battery as well as mains operated, making it ideal for use in emergency situations.
The Vet abc Plus+ analyses blood from nine different species including horses, cats and dogs. Easy to use, it produces a complete four-part differential blood count in only 60 seconds. When the measurement is started, 10 µl of EDTA whole blood is automatically aspirated - no sample preparation is necessary. The results may be automatically transferred to the veterinary practice software program.
