Fast-growing Lintbells Ltd, which makes nutritional supplements for pets, has expanded its team of Veterinary Business Development Executives to cover the Scottish and Northern Irish markets. Qualified veterinary nurse Claire Finch has joined the company to support the veterinary sector in the two countries.
Demand from the veterinary industry for Lintbells’ natural health products for dogs and cats has surged by more than 300 per cent in the space of a year. The company has been developing its business as a supplier of affordable companion animal products to veterinarians, at a time when many pet owners are putting a greater emphasis on the costs associated with their animals’ health.
Claire, who lives in Scotland, will take responsibility for building and maintaining excellent relationships with existing customers, as well as selling products and providing support to veterinary practices.
Co-founder and Marketing Director of Lintbells John Howie said: “We are very pleased to welcome Claire to the team. Business from the veterinary sector has been phenomenal and her skills and experience as a veterinary nurse will allow her to offer support to our customers in these areas.
“It’s an exciting time for Lintbells as we have just expanded our best-selling Yumove triple action joint supplement range, which now has a variant for cats as well as one specifically for young and active dogs. We also have a number of new products in the pipeline to be launched to the veterinary market soon.”
Claire graduated from the Althorne Institute of Technology in Ireland and worked at Fethard Equine Hospital in Co. Tipperary before joining a firm selling X-ray machines and ultra-sound scanners in the country. Her hobbies include horse-riding and she also owns a Boxer X Rottweiler called Roxy.
Commenting on her appointment, Claire said: “Lintbells is a rapidly growing company that has already made a huge impression in nutritional health. This is an exciting new position, working with veterinary professionals and I’m looking forward to using my experience and knowledge to develop this direction for the company.”
