Onswitch Sign Up To Support Woodland Carbon Capture Scheme
Beginning with the Winter 2017 edition of Footfall, Onswitch are proud to announce that all printed material produced for the company will now use sustainably sourced paper, and our printer, Gipping Press will give a donation to the Woodland Trust in Onswitch's name for every project.
To offset the CO2 emissions created in paper production, printing and delivery, the Woodland Trust plant native woodland as part of their Carbon Capture scheme. New trees are planted across the UK, supporting natural ecosystems, biodiversity and wildlife:
- Growing trees use more carbon than mature stock
- Total area of native woodland increases
- New forests are a haven for wildlife and will also create recreational spaces once established
Jane Johnston, Production Manager and project champion commented, "Onswitch is guided by our five values in everything we do - we act with integrity and are Passionate and Honest in our approach. In order to reduce our carbon footprint we have already acted to drastically reduce the print run of our quarterly magazine Footfall, switching to digital delivery for the majority of our circulation. It's great to be able to reduce our environmental impact even further through the Woodland Carbon scheme, and we'll be encouraging all our clients to follow suit as we use sustainably sourced carbon capture paper stock as standard in all future projects."
