A leading Leicestershire vet group has appointed a new lead clinical director whose face will be familiar to clients and patients.

Amy Jennings has been with Linnaeus-owned Park Vet Group, which has practices in Whetstone, Saffron Lane, Scraptoft Lane and Glenfield, since 2015.

Qualifying from The Royal Veterinary Collage in 2013, Amy initially specialised in small animal care when she joined the Whetstone practice.

During her time so far with Park Vet Group, Amy has seen the Whetstone practice expand, as well as the four Park practices join Linnaeus in 2019.

A milestone year came for Amy in 2020, as she was promoted to lead vet at Park’s Whetstone practice. Just two years later, further career progression beckoned when she became primary care clinical director for Park Vet Group, quickly followed by her latest promotion.

As part of her appointment to lead clinical director at Park Vet Group, Amy, who is currently studying towards a further qualification with a Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice, will oversee the maintenance of high clinical standards across all four sites and through the services they provide.

Patients will be happy to know Amy will also continue on the clinical rota so she can still deliver first-class medical and surgical care to the patients under her care.

Amy said: “Park Vet Group is full of talented people and I look forward to developing and nurturing that talent so we can continue to expand the services we offer to clients and patients.”

She is also keen to develop Park Vet Group’s nursing services further to show the true value of the nursing team, plus ensure the ongoing effective recruitment of vets, nurses and client care teams to continue the high standards of care and expertise across the four sites.

Outside of work, Amy enjoys dog walks with her rescue dog called Elsie and keeps fit by running, having completed several half-marathons over the past few years with another scheduled in later this year.
