Pet Microchipping Company Micro-ID First Company In Sussex To Be Awarded Coast To Capital's Business Growth Grant

Micro-ID the RFID (microchips for pets) specialists have embarked upon a project to design and manufacture a microchip scanner which will read all microchips in the world and also have Bluetooth communications to be able to send a microchip number to any other Bluetooth device.
Micro-ID is run by people who have been in the RFID (microchips for pets) business for over 25 years; Micro-ID has created 5 jobs in the past 2 years and is planning to create a further 5 in the next 2 years.
Micro-ID is now one of the fastest growing businesses in the South East and is launching its products in the USA in March and with the support of the Coast to Capital grant will be able to double their current international business from 20% of their turnover to 40% over the next 2 years.
Coast to Capital is the Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) for Brighton and Hove, Croydon, Gatwick Diamond, East Surrey, Lewes and West Sussex. In November they launched their Business Growth Grant Programme which provides small and medium sized businesses looking to expand and create jobs with grants of between £5,000 and £100,000. They welcome applications from high-growth, high-innovation, and/ or low carbon and environmental technology SMEs wishing to expand and diversify, however businesses in other sectors and those projecting modest growth are also being encouraged to apply. The Business Growth Grants are supported by the Governments Regional Growth Fund which is a £3.2 billion fund designed to help companies in England to grow. So far £2.6 billion of funding has been allocated to support projects and programmes committed to deliver sustainable jobs and economic growth.
