Success For Zoetis’ First BVNA Congress

Zoetis UK Ltd today announced that it had a highly engaging first visit to BVNA Congress in October. It marks the company’s first educational initiative under the new partnership with Zoetis’ Companion Animal business and the British Veterinary Nursing Association (BVNA).
Zoetis market research has shown that 8 in 10 veterinary nurses are interested in CPD support on the topic of parasiticides. On this basis the Zoetis exhibition stand at BVNA Congress was themed around an interactive module to test knowledge on parasites, which proved very popular. Zoetis colleagues were on hand to discuss other educational needs with delegates, to ensure they continue to deliver to meet BVNA members’ wishes. Stand visitors were also treated to sustainable gifts including cotton goody bags and seeded paper.
“There was great engagement and energy around the event,” said Jessica Long, Zoetis Parasiticides Product Manager. “We had some good discussions and identified clear areas where we can build on our support for BVNA members from an educational standpoint.
“Our conversations reiterated the desire for further educational initiatives on parasiticides, to support VNs with their interactions with pet owners and to build their understanding and knowledge of responsible and risk-based parasiticide use.
“Our attendance at BVNA Congress was the first stage of our drive to champion the role of the veterinary nursing profession plus those working in veterinary care assistance positions, in the advancement of care for small animals. Next in the pipeline is a series of knowledge-sharing CPD events and webinars, commencing in early 2025.”
