One of the UK’s leading referral vet centres has appointed a new hospital director to spearhead its continued commitment to excellence.

Tracey Morley Jewkes has joined Willows Veterinary Centre and Referral Service, in Solihull, after spending four years as managing director of multi award-winning Blacks Vets, in the West Midlands.

Willows, which is celebrating its 30th year of business during 2019, is a state-of-the-art, multi-disciplinary referral centre offering 12 specialist services, including a Radioactive Iodine Service for the treatment of Hyperthyroidism in cats.

The appointment of Miss Morley Jewkes, whose experience spans from business ownership and international management consultancy through to the veterinary industry, signals a real sign of intent by the Solihull-based centre to progress its position as one of the UK’s leading referral services.

Tracey, who recently presented at VMJ Congress, said: “Having spent four extremely successful and happy years at Blacks, the opportunity to lead Willows during a really exciting time was too good to turn down.

“We offer state-of-the-art facilities and some of the highest-quality veterinary professionals in the country, so I am thoroughly looking forward to leading a highly-skilled and committed team.

“We will be reaching out to our referring vet colleagues to ensure they know exactly what facilities and cutting-edge treatment we can offer.

“This is also Willows’ 30th anniversary, and our 10th year at Highlands Road, so we are planning a number of events and initiatives – watch this space for more information!”

Toby Gemmill, clinical director at Willows, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Tracey to Willows. We are lucky to have attracted a very experienced and successful hospital director and we’re looking forward to working with her as we aim to continue providing the best possible care for our patients and highest levels of service to our clients and referring vets.”

As well as leading five-practice Blacks Vets to a number of industry awards during her time there, Miss Morley Jewkes also appeared on the hit Channel 4 show, The Job Interview, in which she put a series of candidates through their paces in front of millions of small screen viewers.
