Vet-eCPD in action
Vet-eCPD And IVC's New Graduate Academy - A Partnership Of Support And Development For New Vets
IVC and Vet-eCPD share a passion for effective, motivating training and development. Both the IVC New Graduate Academy and Vet-eCPD exist to improve the way that support and continued education are delivered to vets, both as they enter the profession and throughout their careers, and so a partnership between the two, created for new graduates, makes perfect sense.
At the start of this new academic year, all members in both years of the IVC New Graduate Academy received a subscription to Vet-eCPD, giving them unlimited access to a growing library of high quality online lectures, how-to videos, articles and lecture notes. This engaging online content is delivered by some of the UK’s top specialists, and is available for vets to access at a time and place of their choosing; a flexibility which complements the Academy's existing structured programme of CPD and mentoring.
Vet-eCPD director Jo Hillard explains further. "Working with the IVC New Graduate Academy is very exciting for us - our partnership reflects the passion we each have for effective CPD and the role it plays in helping vets and vet nurses move forward confidently in their careers. With access to Vet-eCPD, new vets can really grow their confidence in practice; gaining valuable practical tips by watching a how-to video on thoracocentesis or listening to an in depth lecture series on feline anaesthesia. We know that new vets can sometimes question their capabilities in the first few months in practice, and our Vet-eCPD programme helps make it all seem a little less daunting."
