Vet Wins Stethoscope In Dechra Prize Draw
Armiche Fernández Sánchez, senior vet and clinical director at Natterjacks Vets in Bournemouth, has won a Littmann Classic III Stethoscope worth £140 in a Dechra prize draw.
Armiche’s win comes off the back of watching Dechra’s popular ‘The three things about Cushing’s I wish I’d known sooner’ webinar and his automatic entry into a prize draw alongside other online veterinary delegates who watched the webinar live.
The hour-long webinar, which is now available to view on demand on Dechra Academy was presented by Dechra veterinary technical advisor, Emily Casey BVM&S MRCVS. It enabled delegates to discover three crucial insights into Cushing’s to save time and reduce confusion when approaching canine Cushing’s cases, optimise treatment of Cushingoid patients with Vetoryl and improve the quality of life of Cushingoid patients.
Commenting on the webinar, Armiche says: “The CPD was very easy to watch and informative; it allowed me to refresh my knowledge from previous CPD and experiences, while encouraging me to be more mindful to use a low-dose dexamethasone suppression text (LDDST) test in my cases.”
In addition to ‘The three things about Cushing’s I wish I’d known sooner’ webinar, Dechra has a series of useful modules on Dechra Academy to keep vets up to date on Cushing’s syndrome. The canine Cushing’s syndrome course features three 45-minute modules written by Emily Armstrong BVSc MRCVS, regional technical lead for companion animal products at Dechra, which cover ‘Identifying, diagnosing, treating and monitoring canine Cushing’s syndrome’.
