Team members from a popular Cambridgeshire veterinary practice have raised funds for a cause close to their hearts at a local flower festival.

Linnaeus-owned Village Vet Cambridge supported Thriplow Daffodil Weekend while raising £375 for StreetVet, an organisation that provides free veterinary care to pets owned by the homeless community in the UK.

Among the activities that veterinary colleagues from Village Vet were involved with was judging a dog show.

Jo Brown, client care manager at Village Vet Cambridge, said: “The Thriplow Daffodil Weekend started more than 50 years ago and has blossomed to become a huge fundraising event and a very popular attraction.

“We were delighted to take part by judging a fun dog show, which had many entrants and it was a thrill to meet the owners and their dogs.”

The event featured six dog categories, with rosettes awarded to the top three placements.

Among the winners were Dexter, the ‘Most Handsome Dog’, a rescue dog with his owner for only three weeks, and Finn, the ‘Golden Oldie’.
