New Zoetis account manager, Tim Rayner
Zoetis Appoints New Account Manager For North East Region
Zoetis Animal Health has enticed a previous employee back to the fold to manage the company’s veterinary accounts in the north east region. Tim Rayner joined Zoetis earlier this month with the remit of further enhancing the company’s offering for veterinary practices.
Tim, who began his sales career in the animal feed sector, has been at the forefront of the animal health industry for the past 25 years, joining SmithKline prior to its acquisition by Pfizer where he became the company’s first business development manager for the newly evolving corporate and charity sectors.
After 15 years with Pfizer, Tim joined YorkTest and then Animalcare as head of sales operations, which involved working very closely with vet practices to develop protocols and growth strategies to future-proof their businesses. In the years between YorkTest and Animalcare, he worked in a large veterinary group as a practice manager helping develop its commercial offerings as well as the day-to-day practice management. He also created his own company working as a business consultant with veterinary practices.
Tim comments: “I am delighted to be back at Zoetis (formerly Pfizer) and even working with some of my former colleagues again. It helps to know the industry so well and Zoetis in particular so that I can hit the ground running from day one and really add value to our veterinary practice customers.”
Ned Flaxman, business unit director, adds: “As our first ever business development manager back in the day, Tim has enormous experience in helping veterinary practices to grow their business so we’re honoured to have him back in the Zoetis team and working across a range of accounts.
