New PetSavers website screenshot PetSavers, the charity of the British Small Animal Veterinary Association, has seen lots of changes so far in 2012 – including a fresh image launched in February and the important new Masters Degree by Research grant, which aims to further improve the health of our pets. Now we see the launch of a brand new PetSavers website to inspire pet owners and the profession to support its important work. The new site will be up and running for all to see in preparation for this year’s BSAVA Congress. The decision came last year when it was decided PetSavers needed a fresh approach to fundraising. So last year PetSavers took the opportunity to freshen their visual brand whilst maintaining key elements of their previous identity. PetSavers worked closely with the BSAVA in-house team to come up with a new identity for their charity. To celebrate the hard work put into refreshing the PetSavers image, it was felt a new website was a must-have in order to reach out to PetSavers generous supporters. The Chairman of PetSavers, Phillip Lhermette, has led current changes as he believes it will bring a huge boost to PetSavers fundraising activity. Mr Lhermette comments, “PetSavers has re-launched with a new logo and a new enthusiasm to raise its profile both within the profession and beyond. The new logo is more modern but retains elements of the old identity so it should be recognisable to our supporters. Our new website supports this new image and is aimed at the general public. It is much more informative and full of interesting and useful information that really gives our charity the fresh approach that it needs.” As the BSAVA’s own charity, it is important that PetSavers continues to have a strong presence on the BSAVA website, ensuring that the veterinary community continue to be informed of the vital grants that are currently available. Veterinary professionals can continue visiting the PetSavers section on the BSAVA’s website (www.bsava.com) to apply for PetSavers grants. The future is looking rather exciting for PetSavers, as Mr Lhermette comments, “We look forward to 2012 with hope of a new awareness and appreciation of PetSavers within the profession and an enthusiasm to help raise funds for this important cause."
