Mary Kim
From South Korea To Bracknell – Meet Moor Cottage’s New Clinical Director
A renowned Bracknell veterinary practice has appointed a new clinical director who may prove to be a familiar face to many pet owners in the community.
Mary Kim first joined Linnaeus-owned Moor Cottage Veterinary Practice, in London Road, Binfield, nine years ago as temporary maternity cover, and loved it so much she never left.
In 2018, she was promoted to lead vet and now Mary has taken on the role of clinical director at Moor Cottage.
Mary has vast experience working with animals throughout her career – from treating dairy cows in Lancashire to helping with animal husbandry in South Korea, where she lived with her husband for several years, to mountain goats in Uganda.
Aside from exotic and farm animals, Mary’s love of cats has led her to become an advanced practitioner in feline medicine, meaning she has further skills, knowledge and experience in feline practice.
She said: “I am very excited to be in this new role. Having worked at Moor Cottage for more than nine years is testament to what a fantastic practice it is, which has a place at the heart of the community it has served for so long. We have wonderful staff and clients, especially the pets they entrust into our care.
“I’m privileged to have such great colleagues. Moor Cottage is a supportive practice and the thing I love most about working here is the excellent teamwork, and how the welfare of the patient is always everyone’s top priority.
“We also have a dedicated cat clinic which I am immensely proud of. Moor Cottage is the only practice in the area to offer a bespoke service for our feline friends by having a building exclusively for them.
“I’m excited to be in my new role as clinical director and to help maintain the high standards here, while striving to achieve even more.”
