Hill’s Pet Nutrition reports that vet nurses were keen to get involved with the latest technology at BVNA Congress. A demonstration of Hill’s latest on-line digital tools www.quickreco.com and www.hillsproducts.com attracted 103 new clinic registrations and nurses practised their skills by creating nearly 200 client recommendations using the technology.
The ‘products’ site is the online version of the Hill’s Dietary Key, containing the most up to date information about ingredients and nutrient analysis. It contains specific information about all Hill’s products, whether it’s a Prescription Diet, Science Plan or Vet Essentials product.
The ‘quick reco’ site has recently launched as a fully functioning site that allows creation of personalised recommendations to the client from the practice and includes feeding amounts and personal additional instructions. The products features and benefits are listed, helping the pet owner to understand how feeding the diet will help their pet and aiding compliance with your recommendation. Once complete the recommendation can be printed off or sent by email or text, adding a little polish to the client experience.
While getting interactive with on-line cases studies from the Veterinary Nutrition Academy, vet nurses also munched their way through 9 Kg of sweets and won 600 pens, 200 pairs of scissors and 200 thermometers in the Hill’s Competition. Joanne Simpson of Orchard Vets in Nottingham was the winner of a Wii Fit and Wii Fit bundle and on the theme of health and fitness, Veterinary Affairs Manager Adrian Pratt delivered a lecture on canine and feline weight management to over 80 delegates.4993 views
