Hill’s Pet Nutrition will now be situated at The Slug and Lettuce, in Brindley Place, during the Birmingham congress, after a last minute change of venue. The Slug and Lettuce, http://www.slugandlettuce.co.uk/birmingham/, overlooks the canal and is a two-minute walk from the National Indoor Arena and the I.C.C. From Thursday 31st March until Saturday 2nd April, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday 3rd April, the Hill’s team will offer a warm welcome and free food and drinks to all veterinary surgeons and veterinary nurses who stop by to visit. The complimentary offering will be available throughout the day. In the morning, specialty coffee and pastries will help keep energy levels up through lectures. At lunchtime, a delicious hot and cold buffet lunch will be offered. Everything stops for afternoon tea. Then, as evening descends, there will be an opportunity to join the Hill’s team for a Sundowner, whether that’s an ice cold beer or a crisp glass of Chablis. Along with free refreshments, Hill’s will also offer a prize draw each day, for an Apple iPad. “The Slug and Lettuce is a really smart and stylish restaurant bar and we are sure our guests will enjoy the venue,” Adrian Pratt, Veterinary Affairs Manager at Hill’s, said. “We extend an open invitation to all vets and nurses who attend the Congress. Even if you are on your own or don’t think of yourself as a ’Hill’s’ vet or nurse, drop in as fits your schedule. We aim to create an inclusive, pleasant environment to either meet new or catch up with familiar colleagues.”
