LEADING REFERRAL CENTRE LAUNCHES CLINIC TO TREAT EPILEPTIC PETS
A leading animal hospital has launched a specialist clinic for dogs and cats with epilepsy.
Willows Veterinary Centre and Referral Service, in Solihull, introduced the service towards the end of last year as the centre continues to build on its already-impressive service offering.
Led by Sebastien Behr, Head of Neurology, the service will see epileptic patients thoroughly investigated using Willows’ state-of-the-art MRI scanner, supported by specialist imaging and anaesthesia teams.
Patient-specific treatment will then be tailored to individual animals by Willows’ Specialist-led neurology team.
Dr Behr said: “We are very excited to have launched this specialist clinic. Following detailed consultations with pet owners, the animals will be treated to the very highest level and bespoke care designed for each patient.”
For clients’ peace of mind, a fixed price package for diagnostic procedures is available for routine cases.
Willows is part of the rapidly-expanding Linnaeus Group, one of the UK’s leading owners of primary care and referral veterinary practices, and offers specialist services in Anaesthesia, Cardiology, Clinical Nutrition, Dermatology, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics and Soft Tissue Surgery, while last year it opened a radioactive iodine (RAI) unit to treat cats with an overactive thyroid.
