Marathon Effort By Head Vet To Support Mental Health Charity

The head vet at a Cambridge practice is putting her best foot forward to tackle one of the world’s most famous marathons and raise money for a mental health charity.
Rosie Hunter from Linnaeus-owned Village Vet Milton will be on the starting line and join thousands of other runners competing in the London Marathon on Sunday, April 23.
She has been hard training for the past six months and has chosen to raise money for Mind, which offers support for people across England and Wales by making mental health an everyday priority.
Rosie, who has worked at Village Vet Milton for seven years and been its head vet for the past two years, said: “After applying to the London Marathon every year for nearly a decade, I have finally got a place so I’m incredibly excited.
“I started training in October and it feels like it has lasted forever but I know all the hard work will pay dividends around the 26.2 miles course.”
The London Marathon passes some of London’s most famous landmarks including Cutty Sark, Tower Bridge and Buckingham Palace. It is the largest annual fund raising event on the planet with runners raising money for a variety of good causes.
Rosie added: “I work with an amazing veterinary team that aims to support good mental health. I hope to raise as much money as possible for Mind.”
