Are you an industry rising star or do you have one in your team? The Veterinary Marketing Association (VMA) is calling all young marketeers or their colleagues for nominations for the VMA Young Marketeer Bursary Award 2013.
With generous sponsorship from British Dairying magazine and supported by the VMA, the successful candidate will receive £500 cash as well as a £2000 bursary for their on-going training and development.
Award organiser James Crawford explains: “The award is for the person who stands out as showing promise in the field of marketing within the animal health sector. The successful candidate, aged 35 or under, will also receive ongoing support and advice from a VMA committee of industry professionals,” says James.
Last year’s winner, Anna Prest, brand manager for Lintbells, has put the bursary towards an intense three day residential course ‘Foundations of Marketing Strategy in Practice’.
“My aim is to bring a more strategic proposition to the company in the future,” explains Anna. “For anyone considering a nomination, it’s important to see where that person can go in their career and what they have achieved so far. To be a successful marketer you need to work for a company or in an industry you are passionate about,” she adds.
A shortlist of three candidates will be selected to meet representatives from the VMA and the bursary sponsor to discuss their nomination in more detail. The awards event takes place on Friday 14th March at Lancaster Hotel, London, where the winning candidate will be presented with their bursary prize.
