Top Team At Glasgow Vets Clock Up More Than 300 Years Of Service
Loyal team members at a leading Glasgow vets have been hailed after clocking up a combined 300 years of dedicated service.
The amazing triple century contribution has been achieved by 30 long-servers among the 76-strong team at Linnaeus-owned Pets’n’Vets, which has seven practices in and around Glasgow.
Among those leading the way are practice manager Susan McLean, who has been part of the team for 33 years, and head receptionist at the Roundhouse Hospital Dorothy O’Connor, who has been happily dealing with clients for 15 years.
Pets’n’Vets referrals clinical director Ross Allan, who himself is in the ‘Top 10’ in the long-service charts with 20 years, paid tribute to the team, saying: “Just like the great city we serve, it’s people who make Pets’n’Vets!
“Special people, too, with a loyalty and dedication to what they do, the community they serve and the animals they treat.
“I’m delighted to be able to recognise the amazing contribution given by these incredibly committed colleagues who have been with us for so many years, with some of their careers stretching back across three decades.
“Over the years, they have helped us create an award-winning veterinary service with animal lovers right, left and centre of the business – the business of providing a place where pets will not only receive first rate care but where they’ll also be treated with love.
“We’re really proud to have served Glasgow and the surrounding area for so long and our strength definitely lies in the skilled veterinary teams and support staff we recruit and promote.”
Pets’n’Vets was founded 50 years ago in the Southside of Glasgow and is now the hub for seven veterinary practices in and around the city and Lanarkshire, all operating under the Pets‘n’Vets banner.
The practices include The Roundhouse Veterinary Hospital in Pollockshaws; Pets’n’Vets in Crookfur, Newton Mearns; Hairmyres Vets in East Kilbride; Queen’s Park Vets, Queen’s Park; McDonald Vets, Scotstoun; McDonald Vets, Queen Margaret Drive; and Blantyre Vets in South Lanarkshire.
