This course is designed for vets who manage a small animal surgical caseload and would like to broaden their skillset and improve outcomes for cases requiring:
· Gastrotomy, enterotomy and enterectomy
· GDV and gastropexy
· Oesophagostomy tube placement
This University of Liverpool surgery workshop is designed with our principles of practical teaching in mind: maximum cutting time using canine cadavers, expert tuition and high affordability. Lectures will cover the anatomy of the abdomen, the different surgical techniques, and management of complications. Additional abdominal procedures can be discussed with your tutor and practiced during your time in the wetlab.

Leahurst Campus
Located in the heart of rural Cheshire, 12 miles south of Liverpool, the Veterinary School's Leahurst campus employs over 350 staff, including over 100 veterinary surgeons and teaches veterinary students in all years of their studies, but especially those in their fourth and fifth years.
