Three leading primary care vet practices across Surrey are set to benefit from the appointment of a vastly-experienced new clinical director.

Elizabeth Wozniak has taken the lead role at the Linnaeus-owned trio of Oak Barn Vets and Alder Veterinary Practice, in Guildford, and Crofts Veterinary Practice in Haslemere, Surrey, with the aim of further boosting the practices’ outstanding reputations.

Elizabeth (pictured with pet, Sherlock) qualified from University of Life Sciences in Lublin, Poland in 2006. She spent six months working within the university’s surgical department developing her skills as an intern before moving to UK and taking a position as a general practitioner in a busy small animal practice in Surrey, where she fell in love with emergency and critical care work.

Elizabeth joined an out-of-hours service in Surrey in 2013 and progressed to principal veterinary surgeon in 2015, working alongside referral clinicians proving critical care and emergency service.

In 2017, she took a head of out-of-hours position in Woking, Surrey, before taking on the lead clinical director role across Oak Barn, Alder and Crofts.

Elizabeth said: “I’m really excited about this new role across three fantastic practices and I hope to help create the best possible experience for our clients at each.

“I’m looking forward to working alongside some extremely talented clinicians, with multiple discipline interests, and also a number of certificate holders.

“Delivering the highest standards and quality of care to our patients and providing an excellent working environment to all members of our teams are key priorities for me.”

Elizabeth is currently working towards PgCert AP SA ECC and is due to sit her final exams in May 2022. Her main interests are soft tissue surgery, trauma and critical patients, as well as transfusion medicine.

Outside of her veterinary work, Elizabeth enjoys all aspects of fitness and is passionate about interior design, furniture upcycling and baking.
