Prinovox? Recognised In The 2015 International Cat Care Easy To Give Awards

Prinovox®, a prescription-only spot-on ectoparasiticide launched by Virbac earlier this year, has received an Easy to Give Award from feline charity International Cat Care. The Easy to Give Awards, presented on 11 September 2015, are awarded to products which help owners to medicate their cats more easily.
Prinovox contains the same combination of Moxidectin and Imidacloprid as the market leader and offers a wide spectrum of activity against parasites. It was recognised by International Cat Care for its ease of use and special mention was made of its innovative parasite protection support package designed to engage the whole family. Resources include eye-catching pet owner materials, a branded point-of sale kit and an educationally-focused Kids Club.
Commenting on the Award, Claire Bessant, Chief Executive of International Cat Care, said: "The Easy to Give Awards recognise the commitment made by companies in making it easier to give medications to cats. We asked people for feedback on ease of giving, if they would be happy to use the product again and if giving the product had any negative effect on their relationship with their cats - remembering the ‘old’ days when spraying the entire cat was required for flea treatment and the cat vanished at the sight of the spray can.
"Flea treatment will always be necessary and people now understand the spot-on method of delivery. Owners who tested Prinovox found it easy to use and also liked the accompanying materials which contain a great deal of educational information for the whole family and also remind them when treatment is due."

In cats, Prinovox is licensed for the treatment of fleas, mites, roundworm and heart worm. In dogs Prinovox is licensed for the treatment and prevention of lungworm; for the treatment and prevention of fleas and also for lice, mites, heartworm and roundworms. It can also be used for fleas and heartworm in ferrets. Offered in six presentations to suit all weight ranges and in packs of four pipettes, Prinovox features bright, interactive packaging using the Blippar platform. By downloading the free Blippar app onto a device, owners can 'blipp' interactive icons on the product's packaging to gain access to additional information on Prinovox, videos on parasites, a reminder system and a fun game.
